The war in Ukraine has brought war, conflict, and invasion to the forefront of our minds since the invasion on February 24, 2022. It goes without saying that the conflict is devastatingly terrible and unwarranted. Many are shocked that something like this could have happened. However, this invasion is not as uncommon as most think, unfortunately.
Ukraine is only one country that has been unjustly invaded in recent history. Countries and groups of people have been invaded and committed genocide against including Yemen, Palestine, Iraq, and many more. If one stands for Ukraine, they stand for democracy, and if they stand for democracy, they must stand for all independent democracies. If you’d like to show your support, please join us at our next Crafternoon and Communitea, where we will be creating signs to show in support of these invaded states and learning more about the current events in Ukraine and other countries. The event will be held on March 28th from 1:30 to 4:00.
