What We're Watching/Reading/Listening to in W*SS

By: Gabby Wahla, Assistant Director

Welcome back from break and a long weekend celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Spartans! We in W*SS hope you were able to find some time for yourself over break and have been able to attend some of the fabulous MLK Commemorative Celebration events on campus this week. As classes and other commitments begin to pick up this semester, we want to remind you to take some time for yourself and seek out ways to de-stress. The winter months can feel isolating with the cold combined with stress, so take some time for you, Spartans.

We have compiled a list of TV shows, movies, books, podcasts, and more for you that we have enjoyed over break, and we hope you find some time for you to enjoy some things outside of your classes and engagements too! If you have any recommendations for things for our staff to check out, comment below or email us at wss@msu.edu - we would love to hear from you.

Books we’ve been reading:

  • Beautiful World, Where Are You, by Sally Rooney

  • One Italian Summer, by Rebecca Serle

This isn't everything we've been watching/reading/listening to, but these are some of our highlights. You are also welcome to stop by our office and watch some of these favorites with us in our living room!

We hope you also take an opportunity to check out the wide range of programs we have going on this semester - from crafting, movie nights, leadership seminars, and yoga, we have something you could be interested in!
